Dr. Sunny Oby Maduka (DSM)

Sunny Oby Maduka – DSM (B.Sc, M.Sc. MBA, CNA, FCCM, PhD) is a global published Author; a Chartered/Certified -Auditor/Accountant. A Human Relation, Financial Policies Compliance Standards, Leadership, Mentorship, Self Awareness, Management Policy and Transportation Expert, Consultant and Trainer.

He is a global Economic, Human Capital Management and Political Strategic Analyst, and with insight alignment to certain cultural innovations, being part of a resource person for OHANEZE ND’IGBO, ALAIGBO FOUNDATION and ODIMMA IGBO groups.

Born on the 10th October, 1962  in Umunnekwu Agbo, Isuikwuato LGA, Abia State, Nigeria.

He attended Isuikwuato High School between 1977 and 1982.

In September, 1982, he was engaged in the Nigerian Ports Authority(NPA), and by December 1983, he sat and passed his ‘A’ level GCE papers. Instantly, he was given a double promotion and he became the youngest AEO in charge of over fifty staff.

He has B.Sc(Hons) Accounting – Unilag; PgD, M.Sc Transport Studies, MBA Finance – Olabisi Onabanjo University; Ph.D Transportation and Industrial Studies, University of Calabar; Fellow Chartered Institute of Management Auditors in Nigeria, Fellow Chartered Institute of Internal Auditors, Fellow Chartered Institute of Cost Management, Member, Certified National Accountant of Nigeria (ANAN), Member, Nigeria Institute of Management, Member, Institute of Strategic Management and others.

Dr. Sunny is the author of The Whispering Voice; currently screenplay for a Hollywood Movie.

Right now, he’s on the verge of publishing two academic books, ‘Leadership: An Integrated Approach’ and ‘Retire Now, Retire Happy’ (for would-be and already Retirees). Writing to him is an inherent gift.

In 1998, he ventured into film production, and was part of the pioneers in the Nigeria film industry when he produced a film titled: THE CRACKS.

He has equally produced two movies in 2016 titled ‘Blood Communion 1&2; Blood Butchers 1&2. (You can watch online by adding Nigeria Movie after the titles).

He is looking for sponsorship to produce a television comedy drama series titled ‘The Tenant’.

During his service tour in NPA, he served in various federal government panels, committees and Chief Internal Auditor of many Ports, and equally, a great comrade, who rose to the position of Deputy President of Senior Staff Union of NPA.

He is fearless and bold and can never be intimidated. He believes that everyone must have a purpose to fulfill, and such a purpose must be pursued in truth. For Dr. Sunny, ‘Nothing should validate falsehood, especially if such validation is legally null and void.’

After years of meritorious service for Nigeria, he retired as a management staff, but has vied into another mandate of SELF AWARENESS INDUCTION PROGRAMME just to impact his vast experience in educating people on why they’re here in the earth.

Currently, he is a Columnist with the Independent Newspaper, every Saturday – ‘The Youths and Their Future’ and an Analyst/Guest Speaker with Arise Television, TVC, Plus TV Africa, Galaxy TV and others, including Radio programmes.

Dr. Sunny is a devoted Christian, and married to Priscilla Swanta from Zango-Kataf, Kaduna State, Nigeria, and they are both blessed with wonderful Divine children – Amarachi, Kelechi, Chimdi, Tochi and Ogechukwu.

Dr. Sunny Oby Maduka is popularly known as DSM…An Eagle that is Born To Excel.
