World Record Holder for Most Skips On One Leg In A Minute

Introducing Gbenga Ezekiel, a remarkable 16-year-old Nigerian student from Ijapo High School in Akure, Ondo State, who has achieved a World Record for the most skips on one leg in one minute.

In February 2023, Gbenga surpassed Bangladesh’s Rasel Islam’s previous record of 262 skips on one foot and set a new Guinness World Record with an impressive 265 skips.

Passionate about rope skipping, Gbenga finds joy in this uncommon sport. He dedicatedly trains during his break time and at the stadium, all while managing to excel in his studies without any adverse impact.

Dreaming of exploring other countries known for their exceptional rope skippers, Gbenga aspires to visit China, India, and Bangladesh.

Gbenga attributes his success to the guidance and support of his coach, Chibuisi Ukandu, whom he considers like a father figure. He also acknowledges the unwavering support of his parents and siblings.

Coach Ukandu, who holds the position of National Coach and Technical Director of the National Rope Skipping Federation, discovered Gbenga’s talent during an inter-school rope skipping championship in 2021.

With his incredible skills and determination, Gbenga Ezekiel has made his mark in the world of rope skipping and continues to inspire others with his remarkable achievements.
