Rema Makes Guinness World Record With His Hit Song ‘Calm Down’

Rema, a Nigerian music hitmaker whose real name is Divine Ikubor, has achieved a Guinness World Record with his popular song ‘Calm Down,’ earning himself a spot in the Nigerian Books of Record as a new young adult NBR Hall of Famer.

His song ‘Calm Down’ became the first No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart, which is the world’s first regional streaming chart, in May 2023.

In a post shared on the singer’s statistics Twitter account, it was announced that Rema’s ‘Calm Down’ had made history by securing the First No.1 Hit on The Official MENA Chart, granting him a spot in the Guinness Book of Records.

The MENA Chart, launched by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry on November 29, 2022, recognized Rema’s achievement in securing the first-ever official chart in the Middle East and North Africa with his song ‘Calm Down.’
